Full Version: Modding "N" textures

I'm trying to make my first texture mod for TMNF. My problem is that the paint software I'm using (Paint Shop Pro 7.00) doesn't seem to have a specific "3D Relief" function, as mentioned in the texture modding tutorial on this site.
I was wondering if someone could help me on how to edit these "N" textures using PSP 7?

i don't know PSP7, you could try 2 things:

1) erase all RED colour information out of your graphic (better: mask all red colour information and make it transparent.. a "color mask" function should be available in PSP, then save the file with PNG/TGA and then convert it to DDS to keep the transparency/alpha information in it)

or

2) use the NVIDIA TOOLS (LINK) to create a bump/normal map via commandline editor

and it works good

so maybe u should get that one i think^^
