I just got TMU yesterday and I'm loving it, especially Island. One thing though, some of the tracks I've gotten off tmx are impossible. I have no idea how to stay in control during tracks like Rawksolid or Freezing Island. They're insane and I'd love to be able to race Island proficiently.
Any help would be great.
Oh, and I'm just using arrow keys
Anyone? I'm trying to unlock the Black island challenge but to no avail.
be patient, the community here is still very small and isnt visited a lot (exept for a few people). I don't drive island however but I knonw that sliding gets a lot of speed away from your car.
Guess I should install TMU again, I was going to but then I thought w/e I like stadium the best anyways...

Here are some do's and dont's:
1. Try not to slide, if not neccesary
2. DONT BRAKE ][_, ([]) ][_,
3. Dont spin in those vertical jumps

1) Use a analogue stick on a pad, a joystick or wheel to steer, this helps you hold the line around corners and not slide. Driving no-slide with keys is almost impossible on speedier tracks.
2)Try releasing the gas for a very short time as you turn into the corner and then hold a smooth line with as fast an exit speed as possible.
3) download replays of other fast drivers and learn from them
4) On the flat normal road sections there are only really 3 corners. They have different coloured signs markers. Green (Fastest) Orange (intermediate) and black (90 degree corner).
Learn to spot these and get used to how fast you can take them.
The most important tip is Tip no.1. If you have a Pad/Joystick/wheel lying around try using this instead.
