Hey Everybody,
I'm currently running the following system:

Motherboard - MSI - 865G-Neo2
CPU - IntelĀ® PentiumĀ® 4 CPU 3.40GHz
RAM - 2.00 GB of RAM.
Video Card - ATI Radeon 9600 (using VGA output) (Bios Info: BK-ATI VER008.017D.031.000) (Driver Version: 8.476.0.0)
O/S - Windows Vista Ultimate

Usually about once a day while playing TMForever, my screen goes insane like a kaleidoscope. Which ends up in me having to close the game and rebooting the computer. I was wondering if I was the only one that this is going on with, or if someone else may have had this happen.

I've included 3 screen shots so that you can see what is happening:

If you have any ideas let me know...
Thanx...
the patterns look like they're produced by defective units on the gfx card. either your card is overheating while playing or it's toasted already.

you might want to stress test your card either with atitool or a benchmark program like 3dmark05...
Dude...

Your card's totally messed up...

I'm trying atitool right now, not a lot of options for a card this old unfortunately with that program... Just a quick note there is a new beta version of atitool for Vista users.

Going to try 3dmark Vantage as well... It's free so what the hell...

Any one got a sledge hammer? Need to beat a gfx card into a proper paper weight... Cool
Well, you can try to remove the dust of your card.. But it looks like you could better bury it, have a nice funeral and buy a new one =) That card ain't going long anymore.

does this mean the 3D gameplay actually WORKS for some time? then it might be an overheating issue with your graphics card..

clean it up, put some fan in front of it and test if your gfx still becomes f*cked up.
i have one of these fans on mine:

my crad never goes above 15c and i have the eVGA 8800GT 512mb with the worst fan ever
Yeah I actually removed the card from the mobo and proceeded in removing the fan & heatsink, taking those all apart (which resulted in sending a pin and spring flying across my living room), Thumbup , removing the old thermal paste, putting new thermal paste on replacing the fan & heatsink. And still having the same issues... Hmm
well i guess then your card is defective.
if you got some paper, get a used 7900gt or 7950gt for ~55$ on egay, preferably passively cooled or some 9600gt for about 100$...
or you can get a 7900GT off of newegg brand new for 60
